  2. Supporting Our Rescue Dogs: Enriching the lives of our rescue dogs and supporting the mission of Countryside Animal Rescue is at the heart of what we do.

Our Agility Field

  • Dimensions: 100 x 100 ft safe, fenced arena.
  • State-of-the-Art Equipment: Safety is our top priority.
    1. Rubberized “A” Frame and Regulation Dog Walk
    2. Safety Jumps and 24” Weave Poles
    3. Pause Table, Regulation Size Tunnels, and Teeter

Nestled at the rear of our property, the Agility Field is surrounded by beautiful vineyards on three sides, ensuring a distraction-free environment.

  • Field Rental: Reserve our facility for private use. (Must be approved by Candy Oman (707) 486-8707 before first rental.)

Facility Information

  • Release of Liability Waiver: All participants must sign a Release of Liability Waiver. You can obtain a waiver online or in our office.
  • Respect Other Dogs: Please be respectful of all dogs on the property. Do not approach or attempt to communicate with any dogs behind the fencing.
  • Cleanliness: You are responsible for picking up your dog's waste and disposing of it in designated cans.
  • Restroom: A restroom is available in the main house.

Dog Management

  • Leashes: All dogs must be on a leash except when performing in the ring. Dogs must enter and exit the ring on a leash.
  • Safe Waiting Area: Dogs should have a safe place to wait. A kennel is recommended.
  • Confidence Issues: Dogs with confidence issues are welcome.
  • Aggression Issues: Dogs with aggression issues will be asked to leave but are encouraged to return for individual training with our behavior specialists in quieter surroundings.

Training Class Information

"Intro to Agility" Class

Are you a beginner looking to enhance your dog's confidence, increase their physical fitness, and strengthen the bond between you and your pet? Our "Intro to Agility" class is perfect for you!

Class Details:

  • Class Size: Limited to ensure safety & individual attention.
  • Cost: $40.00 per handler for a 2-hour class.
  • Dog Age Requirement: Dogs must be at least 15 months old.
  • Handler Age Requirement: Handlers must be at least 12 years old. (Separate classes are available for younger handlers.)

What to Bring:

  • Treats and a Favorite Toy: To keep your dog motivated.
  • 6-foot Leash: No E-collars, prong collars, or gentle leaders; dogs must wear a flat collar when working.

Important Notes:

  • Good Recall: Dogs must have good recall and not exhibit leash or dog-aggressive behaviors. Dogs with these behaviors can attend a separate training class.
  • Safe Environment: Dogs should enter and exit the ring on a leash and have a safe place to wait, such as a kennel.

Introduction to Agility Class

Are you interested in Agility Training?

Start the New Year off with a new hobby for you and your dog !

We have a beautifully equipped field with safe, competition-level equipment, and completely fenced.

New Classes Starting Soon

Cost:   $40.00 per dog each day

What to bring:  Treats or favorite toy. Have dogs on a 6 ft. leash.

Day One:  Saturday - Dog will learn:

  • High reward training, sit/stay with focus on the handler.
  • Move forward next to the handler.
  • Introduction to tunnel, hoop, contact object.

Day Two:  Sunday – Dog will learn:

  • Introduction to contact equipment.  May be limited to low A-Frame. The handler will focus on accuracy.
  •  Some behavior will be on a 6 ft. leash.

If a student wants to attend both days but team (dog and handler) aren’t quite ready to move to Part Two they can review what they learned on Saturday to perfect that information.

Classes will continue for those teams that want to go on with training. That information will be given at class.
